An independent mapping and analytics platform covering all 48 thermal in-situ schemes in Alberta and Saskatchewan. It maps operators, production volumes, steam-oil ratios, and pad and well locations. The dataset is built from public AER and Petrinex records, integrated with 369 operator performance filings from 2002 to 2026, and every figure taken from a filing is cited to its source page.
Architecture: A deterministic data pipeline extracts AER annual in-situ performance presentations into a structured database, joins them with Petrinex monthly volumes, and automatically rebuilds a static site weekly.
I partner with energy operators and engineering teams to scope and build data products, regulatory tools, and unattended data pipelines. I apply P.Eng. domain expertise in reservoir and production engineering to keep the results technically sound and to set clear limits on what a tool reports. Engagements are scoped per problem, and solutions are built to run on infrastructure the client owns.
I am a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and 20 years of industry experience. My technical background includes completions at ConocoPhillips and six years at Athabasca Oil spanning production engineering for the Hangingstone Phase 1 startup, exploitation for MacKay River SAGD, and thermal reservoir modelling (geomodels, type curves, simulations, and economics). After systems engineering and change management roles at DIRTT, I am now Commercial Manager at Scovan Engineering, where I lead business development and external relationships, including the standardized modular SAGD well pad program. Through Altadore, I build independent data products for the energy sector.
