Phil Henderson, P.Eng.

Twenty years across oil & gas, construction technology, and program delivery. In January I woke up from my pre-AI slumber and started building with Claude and Claude Code. Today I've built a meaningful set of working software examples, and a growing list of people I've helped solve general problems with AI.

Golf trip planner

Three trip ideas for any destination: courses, hotels, the math. Verified pricing in about three minutes. Roughly four-tenths of a cent per run.

Things I've built
01

George

A chatbot with persistent memory and a privacy scrubber that catches sensitive data before it leaves the device. Started because my fiancée's data kept leaking into my AI conversations. Now lives on a Pi 5 in my living room.

02

Golf planner

Tell it where you want to go and how you want to play. Get three trip ideas with verified course prices, hotels, and a clean breakdown of the cost. Roughly three minutes per run.

The swarm

A multi-agent system on the same Pi that runs George. Four agents, six tools, a cron layer that monitors its own hardware and backs itself up. The agent loop is 150 lines of raw Node; no LangChain, no CrewAI. It talks to me through Telegram.

Resource planner

A multi-discipline resource calculator for rebuilding a backlog of work across multiple engineering teams. Custom-built around one team's industry, workflows, and systems. Internal tool, no public link.

Work with me

If you're an engineer or a small team trying to figure out where AI fits in what you actually do, here's what I'm doing right now.

Sessions

Ninety minutes, one-on-one. Bring a problem, leave with a working approach.

Workshops

Half-day or full-day with your team. Opinionated material drawn from things I've actually shipped.

Projects

Small custom builds, scoped to what you need. Built by hand, on infrastructure you can keep.

A bit of background
Phil Henderson

I'm a professional engineer. By day I run a modular pad program in Alberta's energy industry. By night, since January, I've been building software from scratch using mostly Claude and Claude Code. I live in Calgary with my fiancée Kate and our two cats.

I also paint. Mostly large abstract canvases. See the work →
